Cool find.

I must have 100's of Archie Digests kicking around. I think I have the first five issues of Jughead, but not Archie #1. I should dig them out.

Growing up I bought Archie and other titles every month. I probably have 3-4 a month since I was 7-8 years old until I was probably 30 lol. Lots of digest at my house.

This may be a dumb question, but does the Riverdale show bring in comic collectors? I have admittedly never read Archie-related titles (gasp!), but my wife loves the CW show. I was wondering if that has any impact on the BVs of some of the original titles.

It did. Older issues especially keys have climbed. These old digest were popular and read a lot by many members in a family and passed between friends. They are highly collectible, tough to find in high grade and compared to how much other comic have jumped surprisingly affordable. Books like Betty and Veronica 320 were popular before but now have become extremely hot. It’s similar to what we have seen with the super hero books from movies and tv shows. They have also started a new series based on the TV show.

As an Archie fan, the new show is an utter abomination. My nerd rage goes into overdrive everytime my wife and daughter sit down to watch it.

I have never had a problem with comic movies or shows going in a different direction. I know a lot of fan boys get mad when production companies changes events or some of the history but I don’t mind one bit. I enjoy the show, something different and a modern spin on an old comic. I treat it like a dc elseworlds book.

Very nice Archie comic book Scott. I used to read Archie's back in the day myself. I wasn't the biggest collector, but did have quite of few comics.
