Is it worth going to from a hockey card perspective? Obviously a TON of other stuff there, but that doesn't interest me in the least. Having just moved to the area, I'm looking for a place to get wax or check out singles should the urge hit as the selection of stores seems limited at best.

Great prices on boxes, but basically nothing otherwise when it comes to hockey. Depending where you're coming from in LA I would make the trip over once and see if it's worth going to again. I'm about 15 minutes from Industry so it's definitely where I go when I want a box or supplies.

Btw...gonna change the id?

Its a fun show in general of course, ive made the trip from
new mexico several times i always have a blast. Noticed tons of hockey wax and some singles worth the drive if you are close

Thanks for the info guys. Looks like one of these Wednesdays I'll have to make my way over there. I'm living in Glendale and will be working mostly in Arcadia, so the Wednesday show makes the most sense. Any recommendation on stores in the city?

I don't know about the city in general, it's a behemoth so I am sure there are tones of places I have never even seen or heard of.

I used to hit South Bay Sports cards in Lomita and Grand Slam Sports and Galaxy Comics both in Redondo Beach where I grew up and lived.

They were all good shops, South Bay sports cards is a bit pricey on singles but pretty fair and flexible on wax.

Well I made the trip out this morning. Definitely a HUGE place with a ton of collectibles. I couldn't believe the amount of people there and how far out you have to park if you're not there close to open. This for a show that's twice a week! Sadly I didn't see very much hockey wax at all. There was one dealer that had some Ultimate, MVP, and SPA, along with Rookie Anthology. What wax was there was generally old junk wax, mostly baseball. The one place that had hockey did have a lot of baseball products like Bowman DPAP, Chrome, etc. This trip was more or less just to figure out what was going on there and to find if I could get some supplies. I did both, just didn't find the wax I had hoped was there. Next time I'll have to poke around a bit more. I was with a 12 year old that can't be bothered with cards, so I wasn't able to delve too deeply.

I went to that show with Mike Low (Turtlelo!) and LOVED IT. There was quite a bit of hockey even back then...the biggest thing from that trip was that we dropped my wife off at a nearby mall that turned out to be the mall used in the Back to the Future!
