I have 2 Autographed Emblems from the 04 Ultimate Set, and Today I freed them from their old (in my opinion, ugly) Holders. When I initially took them out, I couldnt believe how nice they looked outside of the Holders, The card stock is actually a Very Nice Glossy one, and looks awesome!

Here are some scans:

My Advice to anyone who has these cards and plans on keeping them, take them out! Throw them in a nice Magnetic Holder! :D

They look WAY better out of the holders, I've just started removing some of my Habs Ultimate pieces from the holders as well.

Much nicer.

The Sakics are probably all gonna come out. The slabbed ones will stay as is.

I took my thorntons out of the Ultimate holder - you just can't appreciate how nice these cards are until they're free!!!

You are so right! I've got a few Ultimate Rockets and I *HATE* the card holders. You can't fully appreciate how great these cards are unless you can feel them in your hands. I have yet to break them open though. Despite my feelings against them, I tend to lean towards keeping things the way they are. My loss, really.

I am not a fan of any slabbed cards, even graded cards (of course, I'm against "professional" grading as well). No fun handling a card with all that plastic in the way.

Exactly. And storing it's a pain. Much nicer when they are small and compact.

I think it's a good idea. They definently look better. Might just have to save the toploaders in case you decide to sell the card though.

I busted out my Ultimate Spezza autos and my Auto/Jersey Spezza too, amazing cards, have to be properly protected in screwdowns :)
