preface this by stating the last time i purchased a Comics trading card product was back in the early '90s with Impel's marvel Universe.loved that set back then ,but that was at a turning point in my life where comics took a back seat to lifes usual endeavors;girls,cars,work etc.
so i've seen some of the products being released recently and this one really caught my eye.couldn't grasp the concept of having an original sketch/painting so readily available to the masses.back in the early days of collecting the only concievable way of getting an original piece of artwork from a comics artist was to go to a convention and pay through the nose.granted,i did have the option back then of getting guys like Romita,Steranko,Ditko etc. but the cost was not feasible to a 20 something year old looking to eek out a living at my pay scale.
step forward and we now have Marvel Premier,a nice price point and a guaranteed 1/1 artist sketch card!how AWESOME is that!? i couldn't help but try it yesterday while at the shop ripping Hockey.i saw a friend open one and he pulled a stunning Spiderman 1/1 and equally super Hawkeye 1/1,which piqued my interest big time.
i'm an old school collector so i was hoping for the Silver Age heroes i grew up with,Spidey,FF,Daredevil,Hulk etc.didn't hit any of those but i will say i'm MORE than pleased.you cannot go wrong with the X-Men,and it seemed to be the theme of my box.
first the base cards:
the only non-mutant card in the box was this Shadowbox:
at first i thought thjis was a sketch card,but it's an Emotion card #/50.i do like how each one of the 50 has a different "splatter" effect on the front.nice little touch.

now for the main course.any help with the artists on these two would be greatly appreciated.i cannot for the life of me make out the sig's on them.
