Hey guys... just wanted to show off a new piece to my future mancave....will have my own place next year.....so this will be proudly displayed somewhere there..

Finished this set back in 2006 or 2007...i dont really remember...One of my favourite autograph sets that i've collected. There's only one other complete set that i've seen out there to my knowledge...but i may be wrong..
Some pretty tough Short prints ...like the Lecavalier, Roy, Gretzky, etc.

Anyways...custom framing was done here in Calgary but a local framer. called around to different stores and he gave me the best quote...and i am very happy with the results.

Cards are in sleeves/Toploaders...glass is UV protected...and i can't wait to hang it up in my own place soon.

Here's a few pics!

The plate!

wow amazing that is pretty sweet.

did you pick out the frame and matting or did the person do most of that?

I picked out the frame....and the color outlines and all that....but he did the rest...he said it was his first "Card" project ever....so i think he's pretty proud of it too..

Hey Aaron
It's amazing how a simple frame can make a card set POP!

It's gorgeous!

[Are the cards in any type of protector, Prior being fitted in the rectangles?
I can't tell by the picture]

Billie,
Yup..they're in Sleeves/Toploaders...(made sure they were all brand new and had no scratches) :)

Yo Aaron, kudos to you for bringing some cards out of their dark storage boxes and being put on display for your enjoyment. That is simply awesome and that set looks amazing together.

Congrats!

I'm breaking out an old grade 8 saying we used to drop when something was beyond cool..."WICKED STYLES, GUY!"

That set looks awesome framed...your buddy put a lot of work into that for you.

Aaron, that looks absolutely gorgeous! I would love to be able to display a set like that every time I complete one! I haven't seen a set displayed that well before. Just wow!

Btw, I'm surprised that there isn't an easier access to this kinda framing in the hobby, I'm sure there would be quite the interest of people getting this kinda thing done. I wouldn't even know where to start looking?!

Anyway, how big is the frame? It looks quite massive?

Thanks for sharing!
Lu
