Gallery Thread Week 1 - Show us those 1/1s!

Thought I would start a new thread idea here. A lot of the posters here have some really incredible collections, and I wanted to see them showcase them a bit. Maybe it will cause you to dig through your collection and look at things you haven't looked at recently. Maybe it will cause someone to offer you something they didn't know you were interested in. Maybe it's just an excuse to show off.

Regardless, my idea is to have a new Gallery thread every week with a different topic. That way, you have a week's notice as to what the next topic is going to be. Sound like fun?

Honestly, since I collect all sports, I am interested in seeing all of them. But if nobody else is, I apologize for posting mine.

I collect Bernard Robinson, Clayton Richard, Cade McNown and Romain Sato, so that should explain this a bit.

Hey guys, Neat thread

I too have a small handful of press plates and base parallel 1/1's, but IMO, this is the only TRUE 1/1 in my collection, as I highly doubt that I'll ever come across another one like it, of any player ...

03/04 UD Black Diamond Signature Gems "sample" card (not intended for release)

According to UD, they produced one mock-up card of every player within this set, and sent them out to each player, to show them what the final version of their Signature Gems card would look like after the stickers were signed. It's a little hard to see from the scan, but the Gordie reads "Mr Howe, Sign here" on the sticker.

These cards were then either kept by the player, or simply sent back to UD (along with the player's real autos), and kept on file, or destroyed. The Gordie was apparently shuffled into the stack of actual auto'd copies, made its way into the pack-out, and was pulled from a pack by fellow collector ZF28.
