Game worns for sale to raise money.

Hi all,

Recently I had a very close friend pass away. He was the proud owner of many game worn jerseys and some autographed jerseys. I was asked by the family to sell some of the jerseys. All funds I believe are being split between the Leukemia foundation and the Suicide hotline. I will up load pictures as soon as I can. I just wanted to get the word out. Now for the bad news. It looks like there is no documentation to go along with the jerseys. Anyway, I will be up loading all of the pics next Monday but I hope to have a few up tonight.

Ok folks here are the pictures. I know for a fact the Spezza, Fischer, and Emmerton are game worn. The only one I am unsure of is the Yzerman. I know he had an Yzerman game worn at one time but like I said earlier there are no documents to go along with the jerseys.

I echo everyone else. I am really sorry to hear about your friend's passing. I would like to see a list and hope to help the cause.

Thank you all so much for you kind words. Losing him suddenly has been pretty tough. He is going to be missed very much. He was a die hard Wings fan and I am looking to get a bunch together to go for a game. I'm keeping one of his jerseys to wear at the game to give him a good laugh up there.

Looking at the Red Wings Steve Yzerman I would say that is legit, the tagging in it looks bang on. That is one jersey you might want to look into getting authenticated due to its possible value. If you are interested in getting it authenticated PM me and I can give you a few names/companies who do that sort of thing.

Ya, the Yzerman tag is screened. Like I said i have no idea if its legit or not. All I know is that around a year or so ago he told me he got a Stevie Gamer and he was stoked about it. I know he sold a bunch of jerseys before he passed so maybe the game was one of them. I am guessing that since the patch is screened it is not a gamer? I have no idea about this stuff.

I think you will also notice that the white part on the bottom (with the NIKE swoosh) is too wide. It appears to have about an inch or so "too much white". Here's a photo I found for reference to what I mean:


NOTICE WHERE THE SEAM GOES ACROSS IN THE WHITE. It's much smaller on the top than the bottom. The jersey you have appears even on the top and bottom.

My condolences on the passing of your friend.

I can tell you the Yzerman is not a gamer unfortunatley. The easiest way to tell is by the Nike logo on the back, the one on that jersey is too fat and looks off when you compare it to a proper Nike logo. Also, I am pretty sure the screened info on the inside hem should not have a red background, it should just be done with red lettering.

I have seen a ton of these Red Wings jerseys floating around on Ebay of different players and can say I'm 100% positive that the Yzerman is one of them.
