Passed away this afternoon. After being diagnosed with brain cancer last May.

heres my story about Gary.

I went to my first and only Expo back in 2002 (fall). while walking around, there was an announcement that Gary Carter was there to sign autographs for FREE! for some unknown reason, i just so happend to have a SF Giants 8x10 (dont ask me why) but i think it was in my binder of unsigned photos. i sttod in line for about 45 min or so, walked up to him and handed him the photo. he was amazed that they even made one of him and joked about it with me about having it at that time, at that place in Toronto..i still remember that day like it was yesterday.

Back when I collected baseball, I always wanted to meet Gary but never had the chance. He was one of my last favorite baseball players before I sold everything off.


RIP Gary!
