Last 10: Boston 8-2-0; Vancouver 7-2-1

Season series: The Boston Bruins are making their first trip to Rogers Arena since beating the Vancouver Canucks in Game 7 of the 2011 Stanley Cup Final. It's the first of two games this season; the Canucks come to TD Garden on Feb. 4.

Big story: It's almost 2 1/2 years to the day since the Bruins last came to Vancouver and left with the Stanley Cup. The stakes on Saturday night aren't the same, but the sellout crowd will be revved up and eager for a little revenge.

Should be a great game. We have a family get together tonight, so hopefully they clear out early and I can watch it.

Unless anything has changed from last night, Bruins will be without Lucic and Thornton (Obviously), but apparently they've also got the flu bug going around.

Lucic is fine. Paille recently went back to Boston. The B's are basically at 12 semi-healthy forwards right now. Smith reportedly has now been hit with the flu bug (a good chunk of the team has had it over the past week), but as the B's have said, he'll play, as they have no other options right now.

The team is definitely depleted - Paille, Eriksson, Kelly, McQuaid, Hamilton all out with injury, Thornton suspended. A good portion of the roster coming off the flu (Chara, Campbell, Smith, etc.) It'll be interesting to see how they play tonight. Edmonton and Calgary are one thing, Vancouver is another.

Claude Julien really ripped into Marchand in his post-game scrum. To any Bruins fans, are his antics really wearing thin, or was this just a frustrated coach blowing off a bit of steam?

Marchand's antics tonight are typical of what he does best. Gets under the skin, and aggitate the opponent. Never been a fan of this sort of classless behavior, by any player, but what can you expect from a guy like Marchand? It's what he knows! It's one thing to try to throw off the other players, but he went a bit over the top tonight. Doing it once (kissing his ring), okay maybe it's a bit funny, but repeating it, and pretending to hoist the cup was classless. I wouldn't expect any less from this idiot. Time for someone like Chara to pull him aside, and tell him to smarten the hell up.

Not sure if Boston was off their game tonight, but boy do the Nucks look like they are on cruise control right now. They sure looked good tonight against a very good Bruins team.

Not making excuses as they played awful, but Boston is down 5-6 regular players.still Vancouver made them look silly
