The Riders (with their gaggle of Banjo playin' hillbillies) vs. the Als. I was talking with my brother yesterday and he said that it's supposed to be +11 degrees for the game. I think that this would really benefit the Als. However we shall see, I'm just hoping for an entertaining game. And maybe if the game gets out of hand a few Rider streakers. My one beef is that their half-time act is Blue Rodeo. . . really? My friend is running security for the game tomorrow, and he's choked. He wanted someone that would at least be entertaining.

Cuthbert just nailed it. Game on now. That was a really solid drive from the Als. We'll see if the Riders can respond still up 17-10.

Alexander did get away with pass interference to preserve the two point lead. What do the Riders do now. Punt, or give the safety?
This has turned into a great game.

I have one word... Ouch. Rider played a poor second half. Amazing game till the end... bad bad bad finish on the worst penalty ever:badmood:

Just a quick message to Al's fans... You ONLY won because of our mistake. Thank the Riders cause your kicker crapped the bed on his first try.

if durant hadn't thrown that brutal interception the riders might not have even been in that situation, not to mention the brutal non-call on the interference when montreal attempted the 2 pt convert. take those out of the equation, and we might have had a whole other story. kinda glad we didn't though.

Though Durants second pick , there was a brutal missed call as well on an illegal contact on Gerran Walker. He was absolutely leveled as the ball was thrown by Durant , about 10 yards from the ball. But hey , the Riders had a chance , and you dont go 15-3 for nothing. Entertaining game , but very heartbroken today.....

you are right about the call on walker, completely forgot about that, but when my dad and i saw it last night we said, "he got away with one there". and i can imagine that being a very hard loss to swallow, if it was the other way around i would feel the same, to go from thinking you've won it to losing it in the span of a few seconds is crushing. but great game to watch, saskatchewan definitely impressed me, and I see them being contenders for a few years to come.

Rider Fans...

Not being able to string together first downs with a 16 point lead in the 4th quarter is the reason you lost. Champions finish games.

Bad coaching decisions left and right cost them that game. Case in point:
Montreal punts into the end zone. Penalty Als. Mark off 5 yards and re-rick.
Montreal punts into the end zone. Another Penalty Als. Mark off 5 yards and re-rick? No, concede a single and move on? Why not make them kick it again? Tire out their special teams and maybe you break a long return...

... but then again, you lost by that single point you conceeded.

I was at the game. Great atmosphere and one of the greatest endings ever for a Grey Cup. Actually the whole last week in Calgary was awesome for Grey Cup week, lots of awesome parties and events all over the city. Im a life long Stamps fan and myself or my family have had season tickets for 15 years straight. I actually went to the game being neutral to both teams. I didn't jump on this Riders bandwagon like a lot of people in Calgary did, i didn't wear green to the game, wore my Stamps gear instead. As the game began though, i quickly started cheering for the Als, i had a slight brain freeze on how many Rider fans really are, complete jerks to put it nicely. If you are not a Riders fan, these guys treat you complete shat!! Like the hundreds of Riders fans chanting "Calgary sucks" before the game even started. Or the 5 Riders fans i watched beat the crap out of ONE guy wearing a Montreal jersey!! I was sure glad Montreal won, put all the Rider fans in there place!!!
