:wild:WILD (33-25-6) at :rangers:RANGERS (33-28-4)

TV -- FS-North (HD), MSG (HD)

Last 10 -- Minnesota 4-5-1; New York 4-6-0.

Season series -- This is the second and final meeting between the teams. The Rangers cruised to a 5-2 victory against the Wild on Nov. 20 at the Xcel Energy Center.

Big story -- It's the second game in as many nights in the Empire State for the Wild, and they're hoping for a much better result than what transpired on Long Island on Wednesday night. Desperately needing points to stay in the heated playoff race in the Western Conference, the Wild were no-shows in a 4-1 loss to the New York Islanders at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. "Obviously, we haven't been good the last couple of games," center Kyle Brodziak said, referring also to Monday's 4-2 home loss to Chicago. "We definitely need more desperation. We're fighting for our playoff lives here."

Two defensive style powerhouses gear up for a battle of attrition.

Gabby is out and will not be able to pay his former team a visit. But the wild are without their top player (Koivu).

Theodore vs Lundqvist

3-1 win for the rags with an EN goal to seal it?

we'll probably lose 3-2. let them go up 3-1, come back for a goal in the 3rd and make it close but no cigar in the final seconds. seems to be the story of the Rangers this year. refs will probably miss out some seeminly easy calls costing the Rangers a PP too.
