Goin' to Watkins Glen!

Hey everyone,

I'm headed up to Watkins Glen! Today I'll just wander around the grounds a bit before catching Cup qualifying, Nationwide practice and then the Rolex race tonight. That is, of course, weather permitting. Weather is supposed to be iffy this weekend....we'll see!

I'll post pictures when I can...most likely sometime Monday.

I still think that they should give them rain tires and let them run in them if its raining...

I have been up in that area alot, my grandma still lives in Trumansburg but have never made it over to see the race track....

Hey everyone,

Here are some pics from The Glen last weekend! Had a great time! Weather was so-so on Friday.....wonderful on Saturday and Sunday. I'm lucky I live only an hour from a Nascar track....but am angry I've only been into Nascar for about four years. I could have gone to so many more races!!

Anyway, enjoy the pics/videos.

P.S. I will resize if necessary....and I've never uploaded/posted videos to/from my bucket, so I will work and that, too, if I need to!

That weekend was awesome. I look forward ever year. It's to bad thinking it will be another year till I'm back there! Great pictures too. There were so many Said Heads there that was great. Always a great turn out for Borris Said fans. I live here near Rochester, about an hour and a half away. Its great having that track so close. Glad to see you had a good time.

Thanks for the comments. That IS a lot of fun. I do get a little bummed out when Sunday's race is over. Next August will be here before ya know it! Nascar.com had a very flattering article about the track...check it out.

Yes, the Said Heads are always out in full force! Him and Robby Gordon have such a great following at that track. It's nice to see.

Check out this picture from last year's race. It was just before Friday night's taping of Trackside, on Speed. The sign was at this year's race, too, but I didn't bother taking pictures of it. In this picture, the guy holding the sign was dressed up as The Burger King....hilarious!!!

Hey Bernie, I did see that sign this year at the track..always great. My dad met him at the Seneca Lodge there where Borris hangs out every year he comes to the glen. It's always a great time and the track puts on a great show..on and off!
