Like the guys were saying Wayne's and West's are probably the 2 main shops here.
At Wayne's you will find Wayne and Nikki who are pretty nice people. They got a huge selection of wax and much more. Very, very much a great looking shop.
Moe and Jim at West's are awesome dudes. They got a lot of wax and a lot of singles and their new shop is way better than the old one, lol.
At West Edmonton Mall there is Collector's Edge, West Edmonton Coin & Stamp, and Card Sharks.
Collector's Edge, which is right by HMV, has mostly figures for sale. Like movie characters, cartoons, McFarlanes, etc. They also have a ton of Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon cards, lol. They're hockey singles are pretty decent there too. But, I'd say they mostly specialize in the figures.
West Edmonton Coin & Stamp which is by the Palace Casino is, like the title says, mostly a coin and stamp shop. They do, however, have a pretty good selection of wax but their singles area isn't that great. They have a lot of McFarlane figures in there too.
Card Sharks doesn't really specialize in cards anymore. They have a huge selection of framed autographed pictures by many NHL, NBA, NFL and other sports stars. The few singles they do have a way overpriced and the wax selection isn't that great.
I've only been to the one at Northgate Mall one time but the owner was very nice and we had a good conversaton. It's a very small kiosk with a decent hockey selection of wax for its size.
There's another shop way in Castledowns that is only open from Thursday to Sunday. It's called FX Sportscards. The owner Darryl is a pretty nice guy he always says "Hi" to me at card shows. He has some wax and has a lot of singles on consignment from his customers. It's a pretty cozy little shop but far from everything in this city, lol.
I guess thats pretty much the story here in Edmonton. There's a couple more that carry hockey cards but aren't "card shops," they just have cards.
If anyone else has info I guess they can just fill in anything I missed or can add anything.
