I am looking for some fellow members' advice on a a way randoms were handled in a group break. Here's what went down:

I entered a group break that was performed at Nationals and won several player spots for a Case Group Break of 2015 Leaf ITG Used. All was fine until the randoms came. Instead of random.org or another computer program we are most likely use to, this breaker went to dice. I didnt mind as he did the duals, and then it made sense for the triples, but then he went to quads....then he mentioned two die. Hold up.

Just to make this not too long, he stated on a quad, sixes, and eights memorabilia that, with two die, if a two was rolled it would be the first player pictured, a three- the second player, and etc. This i find not an act of "random" and find it an unfair practice. The first player pictured would have to get snakeyes to win that card..while the 6th player pictured, for example, has 5 opportunities to win based on two die combos. I tried e-mailing this breaker and have had no reply as to why this method was done. I told him he should have the anything past the triple mems redone in a proper random way. Do I have a valid concern or just being a little crazy about it? It just didnt seem to cross his mind at all while breaking and this is basic probability and math.

I doubt he was trying to be dishonest, more likely thought it was a good idea to be different and didnt think it through. He should have just used random.org or hell even a drawing out of a hat.

You have a very good case here. If you can get some of the other breakers to chime in you may be able to have it redone.

Agreed! Sounded good in his head but absolutely the wrong way to do it.

Thanks everyone for your perspectives. I dont think he was trying to be dishonest at all. Just didn't occur to him. My problem is with no replies back from regarding this.

I am doubtful there is anything you could do in this case. Your best bet would be to move on from this one and if they are not willing to respond to you, I would suggest just not breaking with this organization in the future.
