This weekend, GTSM hosted a show here in the Houston area that showcased a bunch of Super Bowl Champions, hot, young stars as well as Dallas Cowboys. It was a rather small show as far as dealers are concerned, but I wasn't there for the tables. (No one was selling hockey anyway)

I've had this show on my calendar ever since I found out Daryl "Moose" Johnston was appearing. I have wanted him on my game helmet that I have been working on for about 15-16 years now. I HAD to have him added to my helmet. When I found out he was only charging $30, I was in Blue Star Heaven! I ordered my tickets early online and counted down the days. You'll see by the very low-numbered tickets how early I ordered them. :D

So, I will now show you the players I was able to get autographs from this weekend. I only needed Moose on my helmet, but I wanted to get my Super Bowl XXVII / XXVIII Back-to-Back Champions poster that I've had ever since I was a teenager in the mid-1990's signed by the 5 players on the poster. Aikman / Emmitt / Novacek / Irvin / Norton (Aikman ended up having to cancel, but will be appearing in another Houston-area show in late-May.)

Friday Night

I got an older 8X10 photo of Emmitt Smith that I had in my collection authenticated by JSA, as they were taking submissions at the show

Jay Novacek - Tight End #84
3-Time Super Bowl Champion

Ken Norton, Jr - Linebacker #51
4-Time Super Bowl Champion

Michael "the Playmaker" Irvin - Wide Receiver #88
3-Time Super Bowl Champion
Hall of Fame 2007

Saturday Morning

Tony Casillas - Defensive Tackle #75
2-Time Super Bowl Champion

Daryl "Moose" Johnston - Fullback #48
3-Time Super Bowl Champion

Ms. Price
She needs no introduction. LOL. If you're a Cowboys fan, you know who she is. :D

Emmitt Smith - Running Back #22
3-Time Super Bowl Champion
Hall of Fame 2010
NFL's All-Time Leading Rusher

And the poster's progress thus far:

So there you have it. Just 6 autographs that I added to my Cowboys collection this weekend, but they were all amazing. Castillas was a pleasant surprise because I had no idea he was signing, and he was only $25. I had no intention of adding him, really, but when I saw he had a smaller signature and it was very, very affordable, I just figured that I had to. He was a very integral part of that lethal defense that brought us those Super Bowls. I'd have kicked myself if I passed up such an affordable opportunity. He was very gracious, indeed and enjoyed looking at my helmet. When Troy makes his May appearance, I will update with the final, finished product. Thanks again for looking.

I wish I would have known about this as I was in Houston Friday night for work. Otherwise, I hate everything about this post Sam! (I'm still scarred 20 years later). :)

As promised, I am updating this thread now that Troy Aikman has fulfilled his appearance at this past weekend's show in Houston. He had cancelled his prior commitment for the show in March, and rescheduled for Saturday, May 16th.

It was a very small show. Only about 20 tables, but there were some big names signing autographs there. My friend & I were in-and-out in under an hour.

Here are the Aikman pictures that I snapped.

Waiting in line, he's signing a double-star jersey before my Back-to-Back Super Bowl poster:

Up next is my 1st poster...

and since the last item was a huge, 24X36 Nike poster, I didn't have the ability to take that picture since it was so big & cumbersome, but I got some pictures of how everything turned out.

...and BOOM! Back-to-Back Super Bowl poster complete!!

So that's it! Thank you for remaining patient in this final show & tell, & comments are always welcome! Can't wait for some football now!! Go Cowboys!
