Tally's Sports Cards has moved up the street a couple of blocks and is now called ROOKIES Sports Cards and Collectibles. MUCH more room.

720 Upper James Street, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. 1-905-318-7000

Phone number provided by the owner, so feel free to use it.

Store is actually huge, and not completely unpacked but enough to spend some time browsing. Pricing has not really gotten any better. From the rumour mill, his rent has dropped over 25% with the move, so we'll see if that impacts the pricing. Kids stuff (Pokemon, Marvel, etc. Seems competitive. TONS of older Pacific stuff.

Tally was the name of the original owner. It was known as Tally's all the way back to when it was in the Eastgate Square Mall. Tally sold it to the guy that is always there now. I think he only kept the name due to it being known as that for so long.

Shaun

I just checked canada411.ca and they don't have a listing...

Any chance that you'd be able to supply the postal mail address and telephone? That way I'm able to amend the "Hobby Store Rolodex."

Thanks in advance.

Depending if his prices improve, it might be a service NOT to!!

I'll certainly look into it, and get back to you.

really eh, i never knew tallys was at eastgate. then again i stopped collecting from like 1997 till 2005.
i remember way back in the 80's when woolco/walmart plaza on upper james had Sportsfan and Grey Legion. allthough GL was a comic book store mostly , but sold some card stuff.
if im not mistaken, i believe Larry who runs the Hamilton shows was the owner of Sportsfan

Yep. I think he changed the name to Heroes and Legends at the end.....

You know, Tally's old Partner at Eastgate still runs a little shop. It's on Lawrence, I think.

i stopped in there one time, and one time only. he was a complete jerk who acted like me being in his store was a burden on him. never again.

Hey Guys....
I too am hoping the prices go down quite a bit ... I've been to Tally's the occasional time and have NEVER bought anything from there. Way too expensive (above BV) and selection was garbage. The wax was pricey as well.
keeping my fingers crossed that the move helps improve the store,
thanks,
Lu
