Have you been receiving your bubble mailers?

Here's my story:

One bubble mailer sent from New Jersey on May 3
One bubble mailer sent from Japan on May 28
One bubble mailer sent from Pennsylvania on June 14
One bubble mailer sent from Edmonton last Wednesday

I received the last two yesterday, but still no sight of the first two.

Has this been your experience since the rat *******s at CP were forced back to work?

Has anyone heard if they are operating under the LIFO system? Because that would explain my situation.

I noticed on the ones I sent right around the time of the lockout (not the rotating strike) took longer to get (some haven't arrived yet), than the ones I sent after CP was forced back to work.

I have a lot that were sent right before the lockout that haven't reached their destination yet. A lot of the ones I mailed right after (end of June) have been received already.

I am waiting on one from the Toronto area. I normally get them in about 8 days. We are 16 days on this one.

Here in Fredericton, this was in the Letters to the Editor section yesterday:

Where's my mail?
Re: Canada Post service

Since Canada Post began re-delivering mail, we have gotten one piece of mail a day, all with recently dated postmarks.
Several important items had been mailed to us way back in June, just prior to the strike, and we have yet to see them.
I called Canada Post and asked, "Where is all this mail that has been accumulating for weeks?" The reply, "When we receive it, we will deliver it."
As that was not my question, I continued to restate it in several different ways and finally the service rep admitted, "Yes, there is still a large pile from that period that we have not delivered, and yes, it will take some time."
My concern is this: if overtime is not being permitted and extra bulk in mail bags is not being allowed, then mail still sitting in piles from June will continue to sit there.
This seems unethical to me. Is this just par for the course or are Canada Post officials working on it?

Interesting. So, they are operating under the LIFO system according to that letter to the editor.

So, I guess I will write off ever receiving those two bubble mailers, as the longer they sit there, the greater the chance they get 'lost' at one point or another.

Yup they are Randy - to the tune of 40 million pieces of undelivered mail piled up during the lockout. The company had been restricting overtime to catch up and is now allowing limited OT in selected areas (read Toronto).

Here at work we just received mail for the first time this week. It weighed about 20lbs. Funny thing is we were recieving "newer" mail last week. This bundle appears to be the build up during the strike. That may be encouraging news, I guess.

Well, on July 25, I finally received the first one. It was mailed from New Jersey on MAY 3

Waiting for the one from Japan now, mailed June 1 according to the seller.

Waiting on a couple packages from early July. Just received one mailed out in mid-June. Outside of that, everything's caught up.
