I made a trade with someone on the other board. The deal was around $70 in each direction. He lives in Western Canada, I live in Ontario. We both sent around Dec 7-8th.

I got my cards before Xmas, but he still hasn't received his. The trader is new to the other board, but sounds like he has a fair sized collection based on his trade bait.

Has anyone else noted problems with cards arriving in Western Canada?

If not, how should we best resolve this without us getting screwed over? I only have 2 of the 3 cards he traded me, so I can't send back all of what he traded me. Even if I did, I don't come out of this that great, but then again, neither should he.

Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
REne

Rene - Nothing new in this neck of the woods. I kid you not, but I got mail for auction winnings from Pennsylvania and Ohio faster than packages coming from Edmonton, Winnipeg or Toronto. Give it another week to ten days, and then panic.

Gotta remember too, no mail moved on the 24th, 25th, 26th or 27th, as well as the 1st and 2nd of January.

also I've had problems with the west coast, the guy was selling lots, It took about 6 months and 4 resends for them to get here... I knew the guy was a good trader, I traded with him before.... the said thing is after the 6 months he sent me crap, not one nice card in the lot

It took me nearly a month to recieve a card from out there. Don't fret it too much. Like Steve said, give it another 7-10 days, and then try and come to a resolution.

Actually I have a problem like this as well.

The guy resides in Calgary. He said he sent the 9th. However, havent received anything and I don't think I will because:

a) He stopped posting here as soon as I made paypal payment
b) he has 0 feedback
c) he does not respond to pm's and his email account doesn't seem to be up (all emails get returned to me).

I think Chris actually took the liberty of revoking his membership.

flames2winin03 anyone?

Thanks.
His mail (sent from Alberta) to me in Ontario arrived in good time. It was more of a problem of mine getting to him.

In case it doesn't arrive to him in 7-10 days, how have you all resolved situations like this? Should I just accept full responsibility and send him back the cards he sent me (i.e. I would end up with nothing)? He hasn't done much trading over the boards, more through Ebay so he hasn't had much experience with message board trading.

I'd reach a paypal agreement, if your first batch of cards don't reach it, wouldn't take the chance of sending him back his cards and them not showing up either, then your in way over your head...
