Hey guys,
So my girlfriend's stepdad's father passed away a little while ago and her step dad received a set of 53/54 Parkhurst Cards (which he has no use for so he wants to sell them)
He knows I am a hockey card guy but I dont really deal with vintage and was wondering what you guys think is the best way to go about selling these? Some of the cards are in absolutely gorgeous shape, like they have as sharp corners as recent releases, others are still in very good shape but SLIGHTLY rounded corners, but NO creases or anything.
I do NOT want to get the whole set graded, I was thinking maybe just getting a few key cards graded (Howe, Beliveau, etc.) to show the overall condition of the set (since theyve all been together since the 50s)... but is that enough for you vintage collectors to drop a significant amount of $$$ on the set?? Or should I just get the best condition cards graded??
Looking forward to hearing what you guys think, and what you as a vintage set buyer would need in order to feel comfortable dropping a lot of money on a complete set.
thanks,
Dave
