I just got a vanilla cc (prepaid credit card) and I'm wondering if it's ok to use on PayPal. I made an account and it shows $0.00 instead of what the amount of the card is worth. Did I just waste my time and money? Anybody else tried this before? Help.

This was from the Paypal commnutiy message boards to someone that had a similar question:

Welcome to the boards!

You can definintely add the card to PayPal. Keep in mind though, that at this time, you may not be able to add some pre-paid debit or credit cards if we cannot validate the billing address associated with the card.

In terms of adding funds, you cannot use a card to add funds to the balance. However, if you can successfully register the card, you don't need to add funds first.

Just make a payment, and we'll debit the card directly. :smileyhappy:

Thanks!

Adrian

Yes, I have used a Vanilla card before. You have to make sure you activate it first through the issuer though. And the available balance will not show up in PP, you have to keep track through the card issuer.

When you say issuer do you mean the store I bought it from or visa?
