They are taking Robby Loomis off the 24 car to put him on the 48 car with Knaus. He will be the team consultant. Both will be working together for the ramaining ten races. Steve Letarte will take over as the crew chief for Gordon.

the 24 has been running junk for weeks.
so it's an interesting call to move him onto the chase car.
Hopefully Gordon can win some races with the new guy.

The new guy was Gordon's car chief. Not sure why they are putting them both together. I would love to see Gordon run well now and Johnson do not so good.

I find it funny how quickly things can sour in Nascar. Never been a Gordon fan, but seriously, one bad year and it seems like armegeddon. Everybody goes through some bad stretches in any sport, and with the level of competition you now have in Nascar, there are bound to always be good teams on the outside looking in. I would be surprised if Gordon isn't back next year in the top 5 and with Loomis still as his main guy. I think the biggest reason they are doing this right now is because Johnson has been struggling a ton lately and they don't want to get behind right off the start.
