Her lucky stars...

My daughter, very much unlike her father, seems to have been born under some lucky star. Last Friday I took her to her first card show (one of the only we have down here) and since it was Girl's Day (its a local thing) I told her I would buy her something. She decides she wants to get a Big Game Tin and since they were only $50 which is a lot cheaper than I've seen at most of the card shops I said ok.

So she opens the tin and pulls a Fred Jones jsy/auto AND a David Harrison 1/1 In The Name letter "H".

What the heck? ONE tin and she pulls a 1/1! Yeah its not a Jordan or something, but still? I just had to shake my head. I mean c'mon, I been trying to pull a 1/1 from anything forever!

Anyways, just thought I would share. She also bought 10 packs of SPA out of a new box and pulled the two autos! I probably should have had her pick a portraits box and she could have pulled a timeless tens or something. Kids....

That is what I like about this hobby, seeing the youth enjoy it...Unlike us our kids have to buy 3.00 to 10.00 packs...I grew up on the .15 to .25 packs, where even towards my pack ending days you could get a box for 18.00. That is really kewl to have your daughter snag some nice cards...Congrats to her and thanks for sharing with us. jason

Yes that is a great point. I think her excitement over pulling a 1/1 was far more than mine would have been had I pulled the same card. Couldn't have spent $50 better to get that result.

I will pass your good wishes on to her. She'll get a kick out of that too!
