Hobby Goals for 2013

Saw the "hobby goals 2012" thread and figured I'd get one going for 2013!

My hobby goals for this year:

1. Get my Kirk McLean PC up to 200 cards.
2. Get my signed 90-91 Topps Set up to 200 cards
3. Get my 95-96 Pinnacle Rink Collection set up to 100 cards
4. Complete the entire jersey portion of the 00-01 Titanium game gear set and get up to 20 of the stick cards, which would put me at 120/151 cards in the set.
5. Get up to 25 cards for the 00-01 Titanium Game Gear Patch set
6. Get up to 30 sealed boxes for my sealed wax box collection.
7. Downsize my collection and keep only what I really want
 
For 2013 these are the hobby goals I'd like to complete. ( that I can think of right now)

1. Get pieces of memorabilia for the two remaining vintage players I don't have
A) jack Adams
B) cyclone Taylor

2. Get any vintage player skate lace card from this years superlative.

3. Complete my 11-12 itg ultimate hall of famer auto set. 58/60

4. Complete the 08/09 itg ultimate 8th sets of

Net wins

5. Get at least 2 60's or back psa graded rookies that I have in mind.
 
Goal #1 - HAVE FUN!

Goal #2 - Take a photo of my entire collection

Goal #3 - Properly organize all of my traders, list, post scans and actually try to make some of these cards work towards bringing in more pc items

Goal #4 - HAVE FUN!
 
Mine are

1. Track down the 06/07 Upper Deck artifacts Wendel Clark 1/1 Tag
2. Continue blogging.. I have absolutely fallin in love with it.
3. Keep the eBay store going for as long as I can.
4. Have another amazing time at the next two expo's
5. Try to go to Chicago for the National this summer.
 
1.) Continue to streamline my collection into things I love
2.) Finish my 04-05 Heroes and Prospects autos (down to 4!)
3.) Finish my 10-11 Contenders set (need the Paajarvi)
4.) Continue to pick up O Canada and Clear Cut Combos
5.) Make a few more trade nights than I have been!!!
 
I plan on slowly plugging away at the 06-07 Parkhurst auto set one by one. I definitely want to add the Doug Gilmour, Wendel Clark, and John Anderson autos to complete all the Leafs from that set, and what the heck even though he's pictured in a Chicago uniform, the Jim Pappin auto as well. He was a Leaf player on the 67 Cup team.

I will continue to pick up any nascar autos I can afford to buy. I pretty much have most of the prominent names to ever race in the series. Need Brad Keselowski, and Joey Logano for current names, and need a few retirees like Ernie Irvan, Bill Elliott, Rex White, and Marvin Panch.

Also, hoping to add any new actor/actresses autographs that had anything to do with The Sopranos. Hoping some of the new non-sports releases have some new ones in their product. I will also be looking to add autos of any popular actors, actresses, and musicians I don't already have. A couple of names on the list are Katie Holmes, Ashley Judd, and Charlie Sheen to name a few.
 
-To finish my graded 80s rookies.

-To decide who I want to collect for a player collection.

-Get my hands on a PSA-8 OPC Gretzky RC.
 
1) Buy a 07-08 The Cup Carey Price /99
2) Buy a Game Used Auto Carey Price Mask
3) Buy a Game Used Auto'd Jersey Maurice Richard Frame
 
Complete my collection of a hard-signed autographed card of all 79 players with 1,000 points which I've been writing about in my blog.
I've counted down from 79 (Ray Whitney - 1,003 points) to 23 (Mike Modano - 1,374 points). Only the top 22 points getters left.
 
1) bring Sakic PC up to the 3000 card mark
2) find my 100th Sakic 1/1
3) try to find any of the 9 Manon Rheaume (non 1/1) cards that I am missing
4) If the season starts expand my Huberdeau PC
5) If Ultimate gets released and includes cards from 10-11 Ultimate Signatures, pick those up to remain at 100% complete
 
1- Talk Brian Price and ITG into producing another Kjell Dahlin card so I have something to chase in the next year.
 
I'd like to get up around 90% in the Odelein collection & pick away at some other projects, I should also downsize the ol' stick collection too. Getting 45 at once was a little overwhelming :D
 
Goal #1 - HAVE FUN!

Goal #2 - No busting any cases at all and that includes The Cup

Goal #3 - try to purchase all 25 (graded SGC) HOFers from the 1911 T205 baseball set.

2 goals for 2013 collecting:
1) Pick up a Pavel Bure Classic Draft pick auto to finish off my collection
2) Try to double my "stitch" set size for Tough Materials. (Currently @ 6.)
 
1. Complete most if-not all of my sets i'm working on (not too may rare cards which is a plus)
2. Locate and obtain 10-15 Peckham and/or Ullstrom cards i'm missing (/10 or lower with the exception of 1 SPx Peckham parallel)
3. Continue working on my Cizikas collection
4. Limit my box breaking to half the amount of 2012
5. Move most if not, all of my traders
 
There's probably a whole bunch of real-world goals I should be focusing on ... but it's always fun to take part in the annual hobby goals threads, so here we go...

1 find at least one Sedin card from my pre-Panini era wantlist (only 9 cards on the list, this one could be tough)

2 hit the century mark for Sedin 1/1's (real cards only - no printing plates) I started last year with 38 and picked up 39 this year, so this shouldn't be too hard if new product is released at the same rate as last year

3 grow the PC to 2500 unique Sedin cards

4 update my website with some additional info about my collection

5 Have Fun! This year was the first time since I started collecting that I started to question my obsession, hopefully just some lockout blues.
 
2012 was an extremely successful year for all of my collections... I doubt 2013 will be as successful, but never know so my goals are as follows....

1- Find 10 cards from my Turco wantlist, including the 2011-12 Cup POE Dual with Belfour... if it exists

2- Add another 10 Turco 1/1's to my collection...

3- Keep my Chet and Calvin Pickard collections as complete as possible

4- Add two cards to my 00-01 Topps Mario Lemieux Reprint Autograph set (sitting at 7/23 cards)

In terms of my game worn collection...

1- Add at least two Turco gamers I don't already own to the collection. Iideally a Hawks road white and black third... Though a K-Wings or Wolverines jersey would be amazing

2- Add a Calvin Pickard Thunderbirds jersey to the collection

3- Add either another Marc Andre Fleury or a Kris Letang jersey to the collection

1) Find the elusive Decades Auto Jersey Black parallel #/6 for T. Linden
2) Grab the final 3 cards to complete my 12-13 Artifacts rainbow for T. Linden.
3) Grab the final 3 cards to complete my 11-12 OPC Canucks collection
4) Grab the final 5 cards to complete my son's Eberle RC collection.
5) Share the enjoyment of busting new boxes alongside with my son. We were fortunate to pull a Gretzky auto in 2012. What big pull awaits us in 2013?
