As many of you know. Glenn is one of the stalwarts of our hobby. We’ve grown *ahem* accustomed *ahem*to his seeing wizardry with paper. He make it bend, fold and punch holes, arch in directions otherwise unheard of. At the last Expo, Glenn popped by the booth to show off some of the work he has done. After a rousing conversation, he asked if it would be okay to donate some of his custom sports cards that could be auctioned off with all proceeds going towards HI. This was an easy decision to make for the Big J.

Alas it has now come time for me to work the wonders of the digital kind to run the auction on behalf of Jeremy and Glenn. I would have run it after the expo but I got hit with #parentlife, #hockeyparentlifeoftwoselectkids #hitwithcovidtwice. It is the new year and I am back on my feet.

The auction will be run on our HI Facebook page as most of our members are there and it’s way easier to run auction and post pictures.
The full set of cards spell out the word CANADA + logos!

Hey everyone! I'm going to post this to the FB page as well....

To add some context/details, the letters that spell out C-A-N-A-D-A plus the 2 patches, come from a jersey just like this. I did NOT use a game used jersey, but I did use an authentic Team Canada jersey. So each card has a piece of that jersey.


I struggled with taking photos of the cards too, but the part that looks like a red leaf, is actually a cut-out window (each card was hand-cut) for the letter patch. Somewhat of a play on the LETTERMAN cards you've seen, just with an Olympic twist.

The player selection was somewhat specific, as I tried to include players that I know HI'ers collect. What that means is that if you win the auction, and wish to break up the set, you'll be able to move most of them somewhat easily...maybe?
