USC or Texas
Remember when everyone bashed the BCS, well without the BCS this game would never have happened. Each team would be heading to bowls playing different opponents.
You have the preseason #1 playing the preseason #2, who ended up after the season staying the #1 and #2 teams in the poll.
The Trojans, 7 point favorites, will extend their 34-game winning streak with an unprecedented third consecutive national title. The reason is having a proven leader like Matt Leinart and the likely Heisman winner Reggie Bush. Bush ended up with 1658 yards while averaging 8.9 yards per carry. Bush also can catch the ball out of the backfield averaging 12.8 yrds per catch. The Trojans rank 1st in the country averging 580 yards per game and will be able to move the ball on a Texas Defense. A few weeks back, A team that ended up 5-6 Texas A&M ran all over the Texas defense for 277 yards rushing. The key to any game is the rushing game and controlling the clock and Bush gives USC the edge in this game. Leinart's abilities (3450 yrds passing) do not allow the Texas defense stack the line to stop the rush. USC is not a one dimentional team in the least. Pete Carroll wins another title and continues the dynasty.
This will be one of the best games in recent memory with USC coming out on top 49-31.
