I enjoyed the first one but I have to say that the 2nd one is even better. Great reminder of what collecting is all about. Plus I discovered some cards that I’ll be picking up just because of the stories in the book.

Actually, Hockey Card Stories 2 is Ken's third book. His second book, One Night Only, is written in similar, short vignette style, but features interviews with players that only got to play one NHL game for a variety of reasons. While it doesn't have the direct card connection, many of the stories are interesting, and do feature players that managed to get cards.

Just finished reading it and it made me want to go through my collection to see if I have any of the cards. It was a great read. I need to pick up his other books now since this was my first one I read from Ken.

Agreed. These are very enjoyable books. Here's to hoping Hockey Card Stories 3 is nothing but Pro Set!
