Not sure where else to ask this, but here goes...

I'm looking for a new pair of skates because the Tuuk ripped off my left skate last night while I was playing (unrepairable). These were Nike Quest V2's and I would like to buy another pair, because they are such a comfortable skate. I also know they are discontinued. Does anyone know where I might be able to find some Senior size 7EE? I don't see them at any of the online retailers, and maybe some of you guys that play know where I might be able to find a few pair.

Also, when I bought these, they were closeouts at Hockey Giant a few years ago, and were dirt cheap. If they can not be found, is there a comparable soft-booted skate, that would be in the same price range?

Thanks for your help!
Mike

I'll check - I have a great store in London right by where I work. The "ee" might be the kicker. Do you know what is the comparable Bauer version? The Bauer lable is stronger up here. NIKE is more of the american marketing.

For my money, you can't beat a pair of Vapor x-40's. Sure, you can buy more expensive skates but I play 4 nights a week. Loved my Vapour 11's but they were discontinued - so went to the next best thing (although some will claim the newer better verison).

The Bauer skates come in D or EE widths - but the EE aren't as common. For the most part they can be found at most well stocked hockey specific stores. CCM skates are generally wider but also have a higher arch in the boot.

Don't know what the implications of skates bought from Canada shipped to the US are now - especially since most of the skates are made in Asia now - so I have no idea what duties or taxes may be applied when it hits the border.
