I've experience some delays with my mail lately, but nothing major and within Canada it had been great. I had purchased this card almost three weeks ago and it was promptly sent as a priority package. A package sent by the same guy via priority took exactly 3 days to get to me less than a month ago. This was within Canada and just a couple provinces away. However, two weeks went by with no update to the tracking package. It hadn't moved at all! Of all the packages I've gotten through Covid, it had to be THIS on to get affected... Well, with a big sigh relief, the package finally started moving Wednesday and today made its way to its new home..

Without question, the new single best card in my collection. I will have to get it graded but haven't settled on a company yet. Suggestions from the vintage collectors? PSA seems to be the obvious choice.

There's a bit of a story as to how I acquired this card. I made had made a few private purchased from a guy and had recently settled on a package of cards that included 2 Bobby Orr rookies. Unfortunately, he couldn't locate one (which shows what kind of inventory he must have) and apologetically gave me a partial refund. I knew he had this Vezina so I offered to send him back those funds and a little more for the Vezina. To my surprise and delight, he accepted. I've purchased a bunch of vintage from this guy so I'm not worried about the authenticity. Too bad its so off-centred because otherwise, its in fantastic condition. I've been keeping a close eye on Vezina RCs and the market really seems to be drying up so I'm happy to get this when I did.

Wow that is an amazing card. Hope it grades well for you but overall it doesn’t matter in the least.

That thing is in amazing shape!!! Congrats on landing a massive hockey card like that, truly an iconic piece. As for grading, PSA or SGC are by far the two places to go with this, but really PSA. My copy (in my avatar photo) is SGC and I like it, but PSA would likely have the better value for investment, and that's what you're looking at with a card like this regardless of if you plan to ever move it or not...any card of this magnitude is an investment. My thought on that is to always protect your investment as best you can, so to me, that means go with PSA. My copy was already graded when I bought it, otherwise I would have sent it to PSA.

Absolutely gorgeous. I had mine graded by PSA for many reasons. Congrats. That is truly a cornerstone card and investment piece.

Very jealous. I bought my first 1911 last month - I’m now at 4. All commons PSA 2-3 range.
Vezina is probably never going to be in the budget but what would a PSA 2-3 run?

Hard to say since they don’t come up too often anymore, but I’d guess around $2,000 US on the VERY low end for a PSA 2 (that would be a borderline steal) probably all the way up to $3,000-$3,500 for a PSA 3, but those numbers easily could have changed over the last 4+ months.
