My family lives in a 2-bedroom currently so I’ve been storing my cards in boxes under the bed. The wife pointed out that I spend so much time cultivating the collection that my storage and presentation habits need to change.

So, I would really be interested to see how you guys and gals store your stuff. Pictures welcome!

I store my 99% of my collection in your typical 9-pocket pages within a few binders. I don't care about the condition of my cards (as long as they're not bent in half, we're good), so I don't mind binder pages for my cards, even the 1/1's. I even managed to do some further organization/bindering during the long weekend.

While it may not be as eleborate as other collectors' card displays, my method actually encourages me to take out my binders and flip through them more often, instead of being stuck inside of a box.

I wouldn't mind mounting some of my favourite pieces inside a frame at some point in the future.

I also wrote an article about my storage methods on my site, if anyone cares to read.

Thanks

This actually kind of changes my outlook on toploaders vs binders. Great read, too!

I just recently went the opposite way with my collection. I have had the majority of my PC in binders for years, but being that I like to have the cards in a specific order it meant moving cards from pocket to pocket over and over as new cards would arrive. The risk of damaging corners was too much. I had put them all in penny sleeves in the 9 pocket pages but even that didn't give the same protection and would look "wrinkled" if it was the wrong size sleeve.

So over the course of the last few months I have been picking up 35 count things of UP top loaders from Wal-Mart (only place I could find them during the first few months of the pandemic).

Everything that isn't a very basic base card is now in a top loader. It makes it much easier to sort and still allows me to enjoy them. They are in two monster boxes now. I will snap a couple of quick pictures tonight and post them.

I am very curious to see how people store monster boxes as that’s my method currently.

Hopefully Ameet will see this thread and show his setup. His was like a wall of monster boxes.

It looked pretty intense when he was doing the virtual expo.

I'll take any opportunity to show off my literal card catalog. With 60 drawers, it holds a ton of cards, all the way to graded as well. It came from a local university library several years ago as they were moving digital.

This is my corner of the home office used for cards. Top row of binders are Canvas & McDonalds sets, middle row of binders are the Flames PC; boxes below are Flames Cup cards and others too thick for the 9-card pages. Traders are in the boxes on the desk; card supplies in the drawer.

My OPC & UD sets are in the next room, all in 3" Avery binders. I like these since I can put base cards on the spine instead of labels.
