Ok folks, I'm lookin for some advice here. I emailed a reputable dealer who has some cards for sale in the Beckett Marketplace a couple weeks ago. I was wondeirng if they could supply me with scans of the cards. Well, I have yet to recieve a reply. I'm thinking perhaps my email got caught in their junk mail folder (which if it did then why would an online dealer have their junkmail filter set so high). I also thought that maybe with the X-mas rush they just didn't have time, but its now after X-mas, and one would think that once again if they're selling online then they would respond. I'm a bit torn whether I sould send off another email, if I should give them some more time, or just say screw em, and spend my money elsewhere. What do you think?

My experiences with emailing Beckett Marketplace dealers have been very negative -- with the usual exceptions of the "locals" like Wayne Bailey and DJSports.

Usually, I don't get a reply at all -- no matter how many times I try. My suggestion would be to give them a call if it's a really high-priority item, or just look elsewhere if it's not. I think most have phone numbers on their info pages.

My feeling is that if they don't take the time to respond to customers, then they clearly don't want my business. I will send one e-mail... place one phone call... and then move on.

Even if you purchase the card... who is to say they won't also take their sweet arse time shipping it... or even let you know it's out of stock a month later.

Exactly!! You shouldn't have to go chasing a seller down trying to get them to sell you a card. If they wanted your business they would have replied. Move on to the next dealer.

I couldn't agree more. And the same withthe other response...I agree 100%, if those BMP sellers can't be decent enough to reply...then to hell with them...spend your money on Ebay.

I wouldn't buy a card from the BMP if you paid me....

Agree with the rest.

If you ain't buyuing at the listed price - they are not bothering to respond to any of your communications.

I'm in the minority here, where I have NEVER had a problem with a BMP dealer. I've bought several items from there from multiple dealers, and in almost every instance the communication has been top notch. Good luck with whatever happens....

Thanx guys. See, this is where I'm torn. Normally I would say screw them, but theres a few things that keep me wondering. What if my email didn't get through? Plus the cards are ones I'd really like to add to my collection at very reasonable prices.

If you truly new how much grief the BMP dealers have caused on Beckett.com (for the average user)...trust me, you would NEVER want to deal with them again. Depending on how much you stand on principle.

I don't have a link and cannot recall the URL...but ask around...they have their very own boards....and you can pop in and nose around....5 mins there and you will see the TRUE nature of their personalities as a collective group. They are a bunch of money grubbing, arrogant :beeps:.

Am I lumping them all up in one group? Yes. That's just the nature of the beast.

Seriously X, ask around...go to the Beckett boards and ask the users there what they think of the BMP dealers...lol The responses might shock you.

I hold no personal grudges...I am just filling you in on what I have seen/heard from the dealers themselves...behind the scenes. They badmouth everyone, laugh at the buyers that pay their inflated prices....it's ridiculous.

Anyway....that's my 2.5 cents.
