How Much Were Crosby The Cup Rookies Selling For?

And how much are they selling for now?

I am curious on the amount it has increased.

I bought one on eBay for $2K when it first came out (3-colors). $2K was a lot of money back in 2005 and I thought I was crazy... but I doubled my money and sold the Crosby Cup for $4K.

Now it's probably $30K+

Early out the gate, as HEP said - around $2K. That lasted about two weeks. They quickly settled in around $3500-4000. By the fall, they were $5-7000, depending on swatch.

I paid $2800 for my first one which was a 2 color. I think it was the 3rd or 4th copy that hit eBay after release.

I have few regrets in life. One was saying no to someone asking $1200 for a 2 color. At the time I just couldn't afford it.
