Assisted on Barilko's goal in ovetime to win the the Leafs the Cup that was immortalized for modern day fans by the Tragically Hip in "Fifty Mission Cap". The hockey history he saw and lived is staggering. What was it like to play with Eddie Shore, the Rocket, Ted Kennedy, the Kraut Line, the Production Line? He knew.

I loved it when he was broadcasting the Leafs games and said "You ain't gonna win games ***** footing around in your own end"
