Any Knights fans here may remember Dennis Wideman, who was an over-ager on last years Knights team. Anyways, he was drafted by the Sabres, but they never really signed him or gave him much of a chance, so the Blues picked him up and signed him to a deal. Here is the cool part, he is playing with there AHL team, and is leading the team in points!!! Wow, that's not bad if you ask me. I'm just wondering, do the Blues have a really weak bunch of prospects or what? This player is really really good, but I wouldn't expect a rookie d-man to be leading a team in points.

BTW: Sorry for the kinda pointless topic...haha, need to find somethin' to talk about though.

Wes - I read that article yesterday as well. You get the Freeps?

I think it's awesome.

Also glad we have other hockey to focus on.

Yep, it gave me the idea for this topic. :) Wideman was one of my favourite players when he was on the Knights too...kinda played like a better version of Bryan McCabe. I met him and got an auto at a charity baseball game. Also met Corey Perry.

I'm actually going to a Knights game tonight. Should be fun. Do you follow them much? (It's hard not to though in London this year.)

Excellent topic. There are many good rookie d-men this year in the AHL. Chris Campolli for the Isles is right up there on Bridgeports leaders as well.

Great to see the ex-OHLers doing well, the topic of him going unsigned was always debated by the Knights fan at another forum I frequent. Many at the forum also felt Campoli was overrated but I thought he was a pretty decent player, and hes doing well as noted above.
Enjoy the game tonight, and maybe post a recap :). Ive only been to three Dogs games this year because of my busy school schedule and such, hoping to get to a few more though.
