Feel free to move this if it's not in the right section. As an avid patch collecter myself, I like to figure out where patches come from on jerseys, but this ones really stumped me.

This is currently on the bay, but I'll just post the picture:

What's strange about the patch is:

A: The Material; it's the same rough material that the Red Wings use on their Emblem, definitely not used on any newer Leafs jerseys

B: The Ouline; Most Leafs jerseys don't have a border like that

C: The Letters; I also have a Borje Salming with the same characteristics and it appears to feature an 'M' and a 'I' among a couple other cards I've seen with strange letters. Also, the Font deviates from most Leafs jerseys.

So we're talking about an older jersey, used in the 06-07 Limited Logos Sittler card, and a few pieces used in the 07-08 Limited Logos for Salming and because of the age it's made it hard to find pictures. Any Ideas?

The Leafs used the same material for the emblems as the Wings. Plus I'm guessing that was a Leafs' Alumni jersey used.

It's a shame, The only Salming I've seen featuring an Emblem patch was tagged along with a koivu, and I let them both go for some reason. However, I've yet to match it to a HHOF jersey, and I still remember seeing a Sittler with a strange letter. Oh well.
