Ok, let's go this route.....
I have 7 Delmon Chrome Gold Ref. autos /50 left. 6 BGS 9.5's and 1 PSA 10.
I had them sold a few months ago. A buyer had agreed to buy them, but failed to pay. He made excuse after excuse..even lied about sending payment....and never sent payment. I waited several months and eventually called off the deal...informing him via email...to which he replied "ok".
Now, he's back again. And still wants to purchase all 7.
Here's the catch.....and where your opinions are wanted...
Originally we agreed to $12k for the lot. Since then the market has changed...Now, a BGS 9.5 is getting $2k easy....
That's puts us at about $13,500 ($12k for the 6 9.5's and $1,500 for the PSA 10....which is a very fair price for a PSA 10).
Anywhos....the guy is ranting and raving about how our deal "was" (key word..was) for $12k and how dare I raise the price. And says he will only pay the original price. Why the increase of $1500? The answer to that is quite simple..A) The secondary market price on has gone up since we last spoke.
So...should I stick to my guns for the extra $1500 or should I go ahead and sell for $12k (w/ no Ebay/PayPal fees)?
What would you do in my shoes? That question is best posed someone knowledgable of Delmon Young and his potential. The kid is a lock for ROY and his cards will jump.....unfortunately I have a baby on the way and cannot wait to until spring or summer to sell.
I am merely posing this question on a matter of principles....should I sell these at the old price to a guy who lied, made up excuses and never sent payment? Or should I continue to demand current market value?
I'd like to hear your opinions....but let's keep all negative comments to ourselves please.
Thanks,
Jay
