Yeah, the CT Scanning to see the interior hits of a box or pack seems to be a pretty newly advertised thing that's been popping up a lot in the last few weeks.
I don't think that it is something that will generally affect modern lower end boxes, because the hits and price per scan isn't worth it for those (yet).
HOWEVER, when it comes to older and sought after stuff like original North American Pokemon card packs (where they are worth a lot more to keep sealed unless particular hits are in there), loose packs of hot rookie year items (ie. 2018 Topps Chrome Baseball and the hunt for Ohtani), or high end single pack products like "The Cup" in hockey, "National Treasures" in basketball, "Topps Transcendent" in baseball, and whatever else are the equivalents, that will pretty much kill the secondary sales market of those sealed packs/boxes themselves dead since outside of trustworthy LCSs who get their product direct from a distributor who themselves get it direct from the manufacturers, the concern they've been scanned for good hits before being sold individually is there.
I get it, I often fantasized about how cool it would be to have x-ray vision and to see the hits on the shelf and buy the boxes with the good stuff, but the realm of fantasy is where that should remain. To actually do that though with technology is a bit scummy in my opinion.
