I don't know if I've ever used the word mojo in a thread title before, but I just had to on this occasion.

As some of y'all know I'm a bit nutty in my master set obsession with Lord Stanley's Mug (just 8 non 1/1 cards left to go). It's been awfully slow working on the collection since almost nothing new is surfacing (where's the back doored stuff when you need it?) - so I've taken to joining group breaks, not really counting on them to fill the handful of remaining cards on my want list, but more hoping to hit some of the nice 1/1's in the product.

While I like the design of lots of the subsets, the product can be pretty hit or miss in terms of value - maybe one third of boxes have a solid hit, and true 1/1's (non-parallel cards) fall around 1 every 20 boxes, and even then while there's quite a few big names there are also your Brian Bellows et al. So while I had dreams of hitting something nice, realistically I was just hoping by participating in enough group breaks that I'd hit at least a 1/1 of someone half decent.

So this morning I get a message from the group breaker that I'm gonna be happy with the results, at first I thought he was talking about the previous day's break that I was in where I also had a nice hit, but then I realized he meant it was in the video he was about to post... and sure enough, minutes later I danced like a little kid on Christmas...

Oh, I probably don't need to mention, but I have Montreal in this break... and the Beliveau autograph I also hit isn't even close to the best hit of the box... enjoy!

Congrats!
i love when karma comes into play, all those great giveaways you have done with free cards to members has been rewarded by the Karma Gods with possibly the best card in that product!enjoy the feeling of pulling that sucker, you fully deserve it!

I can certainly relate to how special that card is being a Maurice Richart collector! Thank you for sharing and enjoy that amazing card! -Mike

Ahhh, Mojo! The word that was almost banned on here years ago because it was used soooo frequently. It was back in the age of Crosby & Ovie RCs...almost every post was "mojo" this, "mojo" that...because of these rookies...eventually for getting an insert...yes it got that bad!

I'm glad it was brought back with gusto! Well worthy of the mojo decree.

As much as that "mojo" term got old so quickly, there was another word on another site that just made me ticked off even more....... "Boomsauce". :foottap:

Just posting it here makes me want to hit something.

Great card indeed!!!

It was the Beliveau GU right? lol

WOW what a hit! Congrats.

Bwahaha, it's always a good day when a Beliveau game worn jersey card is almost just filler in the box :)

Ah yah, I'm glad that term went away too... That and the overuse of "sick" makes me, well, sick.

Zoinks... so I just noticed today that the breaker's ebay account is no longer registered, I think that made my heart skip a few more beats.

On the promising side, the card was marked as having been shipped just a day or two before this happened, and I received another 1/1 that I won earlier from the same breaker, so I can only hope that everything works out well here and that whatever's going on on ebay is just an unfortunate misunderstanding, but I'll be waiting nervously by the mailbox every morning really hoping the Richard stick shows up!
