let me just say that 15-16 UD ICE has been a debacle of epic proportion for me- we're talking manly prison loving of a break. The kind of break that makes you want to just toss everything in a pile, soak it in gasoline and light that ****e up. Box after box after box has gone by (LOTS of boxes- I'm embarrassed to say how many but trust me this is not hyperbole) with the best cards being an Exquisite Malkin auto skate or glove or something /99, a Panarin glacial graphs that he had inscribed Go Hawks and a couple of McDavid world junior inserts. Last Wednesday I finally hit a McDavid Exquisite Auto /149 and a Noah Hanifin Exquisite jersey numbered thingy 1/5 (apparently in that jersey numbered subset his is the lowest print run and one of my good buddies has taken on that set and wanted it). I sold each of those cards for $350 USD so a cool $700 there. Still a bandaid on a howitzer wound but better than nothing. Today I was at a small show in Redford, MI helping out a dealer friend of mine and after opening 2 more pathetic loose boxes, he was down to one last inner case. I asked him if he could crack the tape so that I could see if any of my "lucky" serial numbers were in there- ya know birthday, wife and kids birthday etc. Well those weren't present but there was one box that had a serial number that was quite odd in comparison to the rest of the case so I decided to open that one. I'm still WAY behind on ICE probably to the tune of 50% or more but this stanches the flow and now I'm DONE with this product unless it magically starts selling for $50/box.

thank you for allowing me to rant.

Interesting read, I thought I was the only one that had spent thousands of dollars for about a million rookies all numbered to 1999 and a hand full of single color dime sized swatches.

Glad that you hit something great in the product. Quit while you are ahead. I came up with that conclusion today after another three box break. Best card was an Exquisite redemption card and I can not get the UPPER DECK website to work, so I can't even enter the redemption.

Ice was a totally mess this year, all in the chase for McDavid. Upper Deck is laughing at us all the way to the bank.

Congrats.

Wax continues to be a gamble. At around $25 a pack it is certainly a risk product with maybe only 1 or 2 pack per box having anything worth $25 in it. Seems even most hits in the packs don't sell for the $25 pack price. It seems the big name hits are really big hits but the lower mid hits sell for little. Congrats on the Mcdavid.

beauty mcdavid, the quad is pretty sweet as well, did you manage to hit many Flames? I am looking

Thanks for the comments. The vast majority of the stuff was either sold off at the show or given to various people to list. The nicest of the Flames stuff that I pulled was a Bennett ice premieres auto and an Exquisite Bennett jersey numbered variation.
