I started collecting Ilya Samsonov cards when the Caps drafted him in the first round in 2015. Without a commute in my daily schedule, I have finally taken some time to organize my collection and show it off in a few posts, starting with Samsonov’s 2018-19 rookie year cards.

It should be an interesting summer (fall?) for the Caps. I am definitely looking forward to Ilya taking the reins.

Thanks! Here's hoping for more cards in the future. I think it is strange that after highlighting him as a rookie, and Samsonov winning 16 games this year as a full-time NHLer, UD only put out two cards so far in 19-20.

I didn't think there were FW black parallels of the non-autographed cards, and I have never seen one. If you know where I can find one, I would definitely be interested!
 
Nice stuff. Congrats. I too hope his rehab goes well and he lives up to the initial hype he created earlier this past season.
 
I'm pretty sure you could double or triple whatever you paid for on that triple 1/1 with Carter Hart. Always the player collector conundrum
