Basically the Isles/Wang have done everything they could to distance themselves from Pat Lafontaine. And for what really?

Shameful how they are treating one of their former greats.

Not too surprised. After they did Neil Smith dirty LaFontaine quit his position as special advisor to Charles Wang in protest. And apparently Wang is still holding a grudge. Not the first, and not the last owner to do such a thing.

I see nothing wrong with it, I mean, they 'distanced' themselves from guys like Bertuzzi, Chara, Spezza, Luongo, Jokinen, and the Norris duo of McCabe/Redden (yes I know they are a stretch at this point)..... Why not Patty Laf???

Wang is certainly a different sort and has some unique ideas. Seems like the Isles have an issue with most if not all of the Dynasty players. Not a smart move as this franchise has had nothing to celebrate in a long time at least give the fans a chance to appreciate the past.

The Leafs did the same thing with Keon but thankfully its patched up now. The Leafs love to show Clark, Gilmour, Potvin etc....they have nothing else to cheer for might as well show them who they love.
