The Lightning called up their top goaltending prospect finally after Garon went down with an injury. He lost his first start in OT, lost his second in regulation but last night he got his first win (6-1 over the Bruins).
As one of his top collectors I can't wait to see more from him, as he could solve the Lightning's goalie problem and may even start in the #1 role next season.
Here are the top 5 cards in my collection not really by value, but just by how much I like them.
#5. Ulitmate Rookie auto/patch #31/35.
I really like the patch on this one, 3 color with stitching and a on card autograph.
#4. Between the Pipes Golden Goalies (gold version) #/10
This is supposed to be a jersey card, but look at the layering and seam that is popping out of the card. I had to put it in a bigger magnetic case just because of the seam. Itg did a great job commemorating the World Junior Championship that he won.
#3. The Cup Rookie auto/patch #/249
A staple of any collector. The most desired rookie card. I waited after the initial release to get this card from another member of this forum. Great patch, the only thing holding this card from being #2 is the fact that it is an event worn patch which is why my top two cards are both game used and from ITG.
#2. Between the Pipes auto/emblem #/6
This was another gift, the best example of generosity I have experienced. The patch from this card is half of the Reebok logo from the collar of the back of the jersey. It might not have the most colors, but to know where the patch is from and have it be from the brand logo is awesome. However my number one card with probably always stay at the top spot..
#1. 2008/2009 Between the Pipes Complete Jersey #/9
I really like everything about this card. Its one of my favorite designs of the complete jerseys and the number patch has some great stitching and the emblem is 3 colors.
