Info help - 1955/56 Parkhurst Beliveau

A relative brought a card for me to determine a value and now I'm the one with a question:

1955/56 Parkhurst 44 Jean Beliveau

All of the cards I am seeing have the Canadiens logo at the top right. This card has it at the bottom left. Pose is the same, and otherwise, the card appears legitimate.

Vintage hockey is not my forte - can anyone provide some assistance? I've told her 1955/56 Parkhurst 44 lists for $350 in excellent condition (this one is only fair to good), but I don't want to give her bad information, especially if it's not an original.

Beliveau is one of the easier ones to find in decent shape for that set. Let me check my copy when I get home.

You may want to double-check the card and see if it is actually the 1956-57 Missing Link Beliveau card that was put out in 1993-94. The card had 1955-56 stats on the back. It has a logo in the bottom left and can be seen in the following Ebay auction:

That being said, it's not unheard of to find blank-backed prototypes of the 1955-56 Parkies that differ from the actual cards. I have owned a Harry Lumley that differed from the commercially-released cards. The differences were slight for the most part, but it had the number 20 on the front instead of number 1, etc. I think a George Armstrong is rumoured to exist as well, but I haven't seen it to confirm it 100%.

Highly unlikely. The Quaker Oats cards were exact copies of the Parkhurst set that year with the exception of the backs, which were printed in green ink and had an advertisement instead of a hockey fact.

Ok, got my 55/56 beliveau in hand - Habs logo is on the upper right hand corner. My guess is you have a missing link card or a reprint.
