Hey guys & gals -

Anyone ever ship a card to Russia? If so, any ideas as to how I'd go about shipping two cards there? I stated in my auction, US & Canada only please, but the guy didn't listen. :|

It's nothing high end and I'd rather not relist - but I've never shipped there before. No idea as to what kind of shipping cost to charge.

Any input would really be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dan.

I shipped once over there. The mail system I was told wasn't great and you take your chances. It was a while back and I believe I paid extra for some tracking

Best of luck

I've sent to Russia on several occasions, but only insured. No problems so far.

Shipping should be the same as the rest of Europe...

If you feel that uncomfortable, i'd think you could say no deal since the fella clearly didn't read the description.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. It's not a big $ sale, so worst case I could always refund him if they don't make it to him. I just have no experience in shipping over there.

When I ship to risky areas, I put in a padded mailed and write "PHOTOS" in bright red across the front and back. As long as the package is under 12 ounces, you do not have to use a Customs form. I do not put an ebay invoice in the package or any kind of packing slip; just the card. If it gets opened, chances are they won't even have a clue as to what it is, they'll just see the picture on it.

I will ship anywhere in the world for low-end cards (under $15) as that's all I'm willing to risk losing. I've had a few steady buyers over the years from Italy, Slovakia, S. Korea, and Philippines. I've only lost packages to those places when I've used the Customs forms. Maybe when you write "HOCKEY CARDS" and the real value it somehow gets lost...

Excellent! Thank you, I appreciate it.

Should be the same as Europe...but I have an entirely different set of expectations sending to England or Germany than I do Russia or Czech Republic.

When sending to Russia, I send registered mail with an AR card.
