my gf has a press plate, but thats all in this house. Press plates are one of a kind, but since they're not a card, I don't really consider it in the same arena as a true 1/1

yea this shaq sp essentials I have is #2379/2999, thus making it a 1 of 1, the only one in the WHOLE WORLD numbered 2379!!! WOW!!!


But really, I just got my first posey 1/1, I dont have any dirk 1/1s since they're too expensive and now overproduced through finest, I passed up one at a $65 BIN that I would have definately taken if it wasnt for finest coming out and destroying the press plate market.


But ive been picking up some plates lately, and now im up to about 10 or 12 random press plate 1/1s, theyre just sweet because they actually are stamped "1 of 1" and "1/1"

I think Brodeur's tied him or passed him now. He was the first to do it by shooting it himself. And the first to do it in the playoffs. Billy Smith was the first goalie credited with a goal, but only because he was the last player to touch the puck for his team. A defenseman on the other team shot it back into an empty net.

The overproduction for 1/1's has been taking the fun out of some of the hobby. I know that some players featured in Topps Finest Basketball have over 10 1/1's just in that product! I don't like how press plates have different colors making them 1 of 1. I have to admit, they are pretty cool cards but just not the same fun as one stamped or hand marked 1/1.

I have 2 Q press plates and thats it. I wish I had a real 1/1 instead of a press plate though since there really are 4 plates.
