I have yet to find a way to track a US postal item to
Canada. Can anyone suggest what they have used.

i'm currently under a paypal chargeback and I do not
have tracking on it.

The only method that really works is Registered! Albeit it's slow as molasses! Plus you cant insure it if you state that it's sportscards!

Hope this helps?

Registered mail to Canada from the US costs the Canadian customer an amount of funds. I had one trade where this guy in California sent me around 200 bv in cards or so and it cost me $20 to pick it up at the post office! So, that's not really a good way to go unless you want people to stop trading with you FAST.

The US has Globall XPRESS and Global Priority and I believe that XPRESS has a tracking #, but I am not sure how much that costs. There really aren't any other options I don't think. Here in Canada, as you probably already know, most of our services have a tracking #. You would think that would be given on parcels containing a high value of content. Oh wells..

Only thing I've ever used is Registered ... believe that cost on it is around $8 or $9 in addition to the postage cost. Not sure of the repercussions on the other side of the border, but if it's a sale (ebay) and it protects you then who cares.

I'm pretty sure Global Express has a tracking number and is insured up to a certain dollar amount. It cost about $16 or so from USA to Canada I believe.

The best shipping with tracking, if you're concerned about it a lot, is either Fedex or UPS... expensive, yes... but at least they scan the package every day!! I hate going to canadapost.com and seeing "Item accepted at post office", then nothing scanned until "Delivered to recipient". You never know where the package is! I'm sure USPS.com is the same way...

Agreed!!! I had a problem with Canada Post and XPRESSPOST a couple of months ago, but thankfully I got my cards about a week later. Postage just like anything else is, you get what you pay for. If you want some extra security, you will have to pay a little extra. Purolator Courier from here I think is $20, but it is over night to anywhere I think..
