Is this card real?

It's more that this card isn't on any checklist. Not on beckett and not even ITG mention it anywhere.

Oh, yeah that's a bit odd. ITG doesn't even say what QP-01 is :comp:

QP-02 Hull/Lafontaine/Leetch/Chelios
QP-03 Esposito/Vachon/Brodeur/Fuhr
QP-04 Tretiak/Myshkin/Bryzgalov/Mylnikov
QP-05 Lemieux/Messier/Bourque/Yzerman
QP-06 Ovechkin/Kovalchuk/Malkin/Radulov

This is the second card I have now seen with "Mike Richter" Printed on the card, but a different goalie actually pictured on it. This card linked above (Which I have never seen before in all my years of collecting and searching daily) and the ITG Superlative The First Six Raised To The Rafters. That card features a picture of Dan Blackburn.

Very odd, indeed. Based on the seller and the card itself, I'd say it's real. How it was released, with it not being on the actual checklist, I can't say. Certainly strange.

Yes it's now confirmed card is real and apparently both ITG and Beckett doesn't list QP-01. Dang what a sweet card I missed out.

This seller, along with a certain Canadian seller, plus learning that the Leaf Best Of cards are replacement stock makes me really wonder if the huge influx of high-end ITG cards are from the original production line or replacement/back door stock.

Wonder if ITG pulled #QP-01 out of the product and took it off the checklist because they caught the mistake in time

Really nice card!
Among the better post NHL-licensed ITG card I has seen!

Oddly..but maybe it's just me but it looks like it's actually Richter on that photo..maybe borrowed Hebert's mask because his own got broken.
It's no secret that Richter used same mask for a veeery long time and one of reason of his fairly early retirement was just that his mask was in a such poorly shape so he got injured in the head numerous time during the end of his career...

This is a very good hypothesis. It was probably caught pretty late into production without an opportunity to replace it and somehow the card survived.
