Is this worth it?

Hey! I opened a bunch of that when it was new!

I would say that those prices are possibly a fair bit outdated. I don't think that site has been updated since early in the 2014-15 season, and the estimates on US exchange seem to be off. As well, people have posted that they have had a hard time contacting the company. They were at the Expo, but I don't recall the price on that one, sorry.

They are near impossible to contact but I have purchased several cases from them and have never had a single issue. Always been fast delivery

It's a fun product to crack, I did a few back in the day. I will say, you are NOT guaranteed a rookie patch auto per box. You get EITHER a RPA OR a rookie auto. There are some real "never were" players in the release.
That being said, if I saw some for a really good price, I'd go for it..I think the Crosby RPAs are seriously underrated.

I don't remember how many redemptions they were, but I do know there is not a chance in hell UD will give you a replacement or redeem anything from this product - the time limit is two years.

I remembered these have rookie auto shields in them

was the Crosby ever pulled ?

as for redemptions, All the big boys in this stuff are NOT redemption, so who cares. If you do pull a redemption, you can put them in the redemption raffles for a chance at a better card

Filppula has an auto redemption for his regular RC auto card. I don't think it was issued as I was issued a replacement. BUT I have seen his White Hot/10 parallel.

This is the only redemption that I know in this product. (If you look at Beckett yearly 2012 edition, he is listed under #237 as AU. He isn't listed in the Red Hot /50 parallel, and White Hot/10 isn't listed "due to scarcity". His card is not listed in the 2015 edition, along with mention of White Hot versions. No mention of shields in either, but we know they exist since we've seen them here.)

I cracked random packs when it came out, always missing the RC Patch. I pulled this RC Auto RED and a Berkhoel AU RC at the time. I bought a box in Buffalo a few years ago and pulled a Raitis Ivanans (Montreal) RC patch and 2 RC autos, so it must have been a good box.

No comparison as Dave & Adam's doesn't have the product & Blowout cards doesn't have pricing.

I seem to recall Carter and or Richards having a redemption. Maybe Kostitsyn as well.

I imagine if you don't hit an RPA, you're going to be hurting with this stuff. Probably the best non RPA is Keith, so if you go ahead, good luck :)

Grizzly Sports Cards has them at $95 cdn a box plus shipping. Is this a good price or are there other places I can get it cheaper?

The owner Rick is a great guy. I see him at Expo every time I set up. Solid dude but the website is run by his son who lives out west. Rick relies on him to send him the info for sales. Again, stand up guy and very easy to deal with.

This doesn't answer your question but i'd do it if were buying that year of wax.

Wasn't a BAD product, just a tad overpriced straight off the bat. Overally, think of it a little like Poor Man's Cup - a few inserts and such, a shot at a Crosby ARP.

Sorry to touch a 4-month old thread, but I just did my first ever order from Grizzly Sports Cards, and the PayPal address goes to a "Christopher Coomber"

Christopher Coomber

[email protected]

Order confirmation email comes from [email protected]

So, not sure who "Chris" is and what relation to owner "Rick" (referenced by Ameet) but common thing on these forums seems to be the lack of email communications from this vendor.

I kept this order small - will go back for more if it all works out like it's supposed to.
