It has begun - League cancels games to Oct 24

I noticed after the NHL announced the lock out, my traffic for hockey cards fell on ebay. Not sure it is related but it has sort of flatlined in the last month or so.. ugh i hope they come back!!!

The NHLPA And OwndeS really showing they don't give a rats behind about us the fans....they have all our season ticket money for the most part already. They aren't worried about money right now.

I heard a cool idea today. When the lockout ends NO fans should go to the first game back. That would send a strong message, just think not 1 single fan in the entire league goes to the first home game. However fans are too stupid to do anything smart like that, we will come back and every opening game will likely be a sellout.

It's not a matter of stupidity. It's a matter of convenience and will power. Fans want all of the former and have none of the latter.

Like I said earlier, I won't be back to the NHL for awhile. Looking forward to driving to Barrie, Mississauga and Brampton for some OHL games.

In Hamilton, he have the Bulldogs. I would suspect there may be some added talent due to the lockout, so we could be in for some crazy games!!!

I look forward to some stacked World Junior teams this year - just hope that Canada has a few close games and doesn't boat race everyone like they did in Grand Forks.

Everybody get out, support your local junior hockey, and enjoy a level of the game that hasn't been tainted by greed. I know I'll be putting in more arena time this year instead of watching NHL hockey on TV at home.
