This is actually a good thing. Now companies like UD, Topps and ITG can one stop shop for information to prevent it. They have no excuse now.

Scummy people will always find ways to do scummy things. You can never prevent it. I don't think a site like this or the knowledge of this garbage becoming more prevalent affects things. Honest people will not utilize this knowledge. As they say, locks only keep the honest people out.

So far Donruss has had the BEST deterrent with decoys that are different thicknesses. If the others follow suit, this stuff would be done with (except for the resealing of packs).

they sell boxes on their website. Anyone dumb enough to buy boxes from these people deserve to get ripped off.

I have never pack searched and never will.
1. I would feel stupid for doing it
2. Someone may have already done it
3. Id rather drop money on a box.

This makes me recall the guy who used to be a member here that started a topic openly complaining that decoys were deterring his searching.

Thats a great point, lol

Ill only buy from a fresh box, preferably opened right in front of me.

Pack searching kills stores, regular customers start pulling only base and they either move to only sealed boxes or they jump stores and bad mouth the store like crazy. Letting a customer pack search your product is like a death sentence on a store. Crap like that also makes you wonder about buying boxes incase there are ways to search a case for hot boxes.

Thats happens all the time. people bust a case until they get the best card in the case, and then sell whatever boxes are left. Its called case raping, lol.

I know of one store that had their packs numbered in a display case, you pick the number of the pack you want, and thats what you got.
Most fair way i can think of.

What am I missing, I don't see a thread with information on pack searching, can someone help.
