Hey, I have a question for everyone. I have been selling on ebay for years with over a thousand sales, not one item has not arrived!!!:) However, for the first time someone is claiming it has not. It is possible it never arrived but it is also possible I am getting hosed. I would like to check back on the auction but I can't find it in my sold items because it is over 60 days ago. Anyone know how I can check out my item and what would you do?

i had bought a card with delivery confirmation coming from canada. it got stuck at customs for weeks. i finally had the seller put in an inquiry about it. low and behold it was lost. somehow they lost a package with delivery confirmation so i guess it could happen. as for checking on something over 60 days old i have no idea. i would guess that this guy is legit if he waited that long.

I think he probably is legit too, really just curious how I can check out my auction to see exactly what I said in regards to shipping to know better how to move forward.

Join the club.

Sent a very expensive package from Toronto to Montreal. Expresspost with a signature was used. It got to montreal okay.....but then fell off the face of the earth. Was never delivered.

these things happen. I've had an item shipped to very reputable person on these boards that never arrived.

I've had things shipped to me that have never shown up.

they are few and far between, but I've been on both ends.

I had one of these a few years back, I sent the guy a refund with no hassle & 2 months later he sent me the Pay-Pal back & said the card showed up that day. He didn't have to do that & his action really changed my mind about other collectors, there are good people out there, nice to run into one from time to time. I've always tried to trust my gut feeling when these things happen. Good luck & I hope it works out for both parties.

Things go missing its part of mail order service. I have had both happen to me, you question it if you sent it but then you need to put yourself in the other persons shoes especially if you didn't receive an item before. Most times it works out in the end but it still sucks.

Recently I had an ebay buyer claim his item didn't arrive. I refunded his funds with a request that if it shows up would he be kind enough to return the respect I offered him by paying again or returning the card. 3 weeks later he sent me an email that it arrived and he could see the postmark was whn I said. He told me he still wanted it and promptly paid and left me feedback.

Once I sent an item on here that didn't arrive. It was sent regular mail and the buyer offered to take a 50/50 split on the lose. I thought it was a great gesture so I will be happy to offer that to someone if it ever happens to me.

I will work with the buyer, that is not an issue. The main issue is whether or not I can check an item in my sold items after 60 days.

If you have already left feedback for the buyer you can likely go into your feedback and check the "left feedback for others" tab - may be able to dig it out that way.

The easier way is likely to go through paypal and either do a search or just flat scan through the transactions until you find it. Not sure what populates on the Canadian side but down here all of the tracking number is housed in the Paypal transaction as well if you print and ship.
